Position: Secondary Teacher – General Cover
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £140 – £195 per day (paid via PAYE – no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you
About the Role
As a Secondary Teacher doing general cover, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects at KS3 and KS4, covering short-term and day-to-day absences. This role is ideal for teachers seeking flexibility, variety, and reduced workload, with no planning or marking typically required.
General cover offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience across different school settings while maintaining control over your working schedule.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-set work across KS3 and KS4
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Create a positive and focused learning environment
• Support pupil engagement and learning
• Follow school policies, safeguarding, and behaviour procedures
Candidate Requirements
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
✔ Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
✔ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✔ Flexible and confident teaching approach
✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
