A welcoming and community-focused mainstream primary school in Oxford, Oxfordshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to supporting pupils through the important transition from EYFS into KS1.
The school is well regarded for its inclusive ethos and supportive staff culture. They are looking for a creative, reflective, and caring teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and support every child to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum
* Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development during the transition into KS1
* Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Using effective behaviour management strategies
* Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
* Working collaboratively with KS1 colleagues and support staff
* Building positive relationships with parents and carers
* Contributing to the wider life of the school
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching in KS1 or Year 1 is desirable but not essential.
