Learning Support Assistant – Special School

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Croydon. This special school in Croydon provides high-quality education and training for pupils with additional needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils throughout the school day, working closely with teachers and therapists in Croydon. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports education and training.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom and around the school
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support during lessons and activities
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
* Helping pupils access learning through adapted and practical activities
* Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and positive engagement
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and social skills
* Supporting personal care and mobility where required
* Observing, recording, and sharing pupil progress with staff
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
* Maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive environment
