We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part Time Key Stage 2 Class Teacher, ideally for Year 3, to join a friendly and supportive primary school team in St Albans. This fixed term role offers an exciting opportunity to support pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2, develop independence and build strong foundations for future learning.

Location: St Albans
Contract: Part Time, Fixed Term (Term Time Only)
Start: January 2026

About the Role

You will deliver high quality teaching across the Year 3 / Key Stage 2 curriculum, creating an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child can succeed. Working closely with colleagues, you will plan and deliver lessons that challenge and inspire learners, supporting progress in core subjects including reading, writing and mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, teach and assess engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in Key Stage 2 (Year 3).
* Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence and curiosity.
* Use assessment data effectively to track progress and adapt teaching to support pupil outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and share best practice across the year group and key stage.
* Build strong, professional relationships with pupils, parents and carers to support learning and wellbeing.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Has experience or a strong interest in Key Stage 2 teaching, ideally Year 3.
* Demonstrates strong classroom management and clear communication skills.
* Is reflective, creative and committed to supporting the academic and personal development of every child.
* Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to wider school life.
