Academics are currently working with this fantastic Primary school in Wandsworth to recruit an experienced School Caretaker to join their team from June.
This School Caretaker role is a part time with opportunity to go full time within a few months. The role will need a minimum commitment of January 2026 to July 2026 and the opportunity to become permanent. There will be additional overtime during the school year to support with events.
This role will include
* Ensuring the school is clean, safe. Manage waste and performing general maintenance
* Insuring the school is secure and reporting any defects
* Opening and locking the school gates
* Support and assisting with delivery of goods to the site
* Daily and Weekly checks of the school buildings and playground
* Constructing shelves and cupboards within the classes
* Ensure Health & Safety policies are being adhered too and complete regular checks
* Event Support – Setting up assemblies, classrooms and events as required
* Admin duties such as maintaining maintenance records & supplies
You will need;
* A good level of fitness
* Be able to work independently and handle emergencies
* Have practical DIY and basic technical skills
* To have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
