Academics are seeking experienced Special Needs Assistant's to join our team to work in our clients Mainstream Primary School. As a Special Needs Assistant, you will play a key role within the classroom, within smaller groups of pupils & 1:1 sessions where required.
Working with Academics
* Permanent part-time & full-time vacancies
* Daily supply work from £90 per day
* Competitive pay for contract and permanent roles (MPS/UPS scale depending on experience)

We are looking for someone who:
* Supports pupils with SEND, including using non-verbal communication
* Puts children first and can create clear structure
* Is confident working in a specialist provision
* Stays calm under pressure
* Has experience supporting children with social/communication needs (ideally 1:1)
* Is calm, firm, adaptable and willing to learn
* Can respond to children’s emotional needs
Experience with SEND is desirable.
