Early Years Teacher / KS1 Teacher
Primary SEN School - Waterlooville, Hampshire
January start - Full-time contract

Academics are seeking an empathetic and caring Early Years Teacher / KS1 Teacher to join a lovely Primary SEN School in Waterlooville, Hampshire in January. This is a full-time, possible temp to perm contract.

They are a warm and welcoming Primary School in Waterlooville, Hampshire for pupils who have special educational needs, including those with social and communication difficulties, autism, speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties. They currently cater for 149 pupils across our 14 classes from Reception up to Year 6.

The successful Early Years Teacher / KS1 Teacher will be teaching a mixed Year 1/2 class (9 children, 1 Teacher, 4x TAs). The children have a mix of different SEN but most have a diagnosis of Autism. The children are pre-verbal and have a play and sensory-based curriculum. The ideal candidate would have taught EYFS, KS1 and/or children with SEN. Class sizes are small so you are able to tailor your lesson to meet their individual needs.

You must have UK QTS and have experience of teaching primary aged children with SEN, either in a mainstream or SEN setting. You will part of an amazing, hardworking and happy teaching team who thrive in working in an such a caring environment.
