We are currently recruiting an additional teaching assistant for one of our mainstream primary schools based in North Leeds. This is a long term opportunity starting in January until the end of the academic year. This is a role supporting children across school with various additional SEND needs.
As a teaching assistant you will be required to support pupils with additional needs working closely with the class teacher and the SENDCO. You may also be required to support a small group of pupils as well as the full class when needed.
You must have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one in order to be considered for this role!
* The ideal teaching assistant will have experience of working with children with SEND, and understand the needs
* Candidates with experience working with children, SEND and/or the care industry will also be considered
* A can do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom
* The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure
* The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members
