Academics is looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly, supportive and welcoming Secondary school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
This is a permanent Teaching Assistant role, working with students aged 11-14 with special educational needs. This position would suit somebody who is wanting to gain SEN experience, someone who is bubbly, confident and ready to hit the ground running in supporting the class teacher.
This Secondary school is looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistants to join their team. Full training will also be provided.
This role will commence from January 2026.
The role
Working as part of a passionate teaching team, the desired teaching assistant will focus on providing a high standard of support to pupils with Autism, that need extra support within class.
The successful teaching assistant will be expected to work on their own initiative to help assist the class teacher in furthering the development of the students or on a 1:1 support basis.
Qualities we look for:
Experience with young people or adults in any setting
Resilience, confidence, and proactivity
The ability to build rapport with hard-to-reach young people
Experience or a desire to gain experience, in an ASD setting
You must have an up-to-date DBS on the update service or willing to take one out.
