Aspiring Psychologist - Mental Health Assistant
This amazing specialist school in Headington are looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team starting ASAP.
This setting cater for students between the ages of 11 and 18, a nice mix of primary and secondary ages!
They support students who have been identified as struggling with social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as struggling with other barriers to their learning.
Some of their students have also been diagnosed with Autism, so they need some additional support in the classroom.
They are looking for someone to come in and support them in the classroom, with their education and ensure that they are able to access their learning in ways that are beneficial to them. The main goal is to help the students be as independent as possible as well as helping them reach all their goals!
Each student has a specific learning plan, designed for their needs. It is intended to meet them where they are. You will follow this plan with the guidance of the class teacher.
The school looking for a Mental Health Assistant want an individual who is passionate about supporting learning difficulties and mental health needs. They want someone to come in build positive relationships with the students, which will in turn allow for a safe and engaging environment where learning will flow.
Previous experience with children is not necessary, but personality is important!
