Do you have a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning?

Are you dedicated to creating inclusive classrooms where every student can succeed?

Do you want to work in a team that recognises and celebrates every milestone along the way?

Academics Canterbury are excited to be supporting a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking SEN school that is committed to providing outstanding education and personalised support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are now seeking a dedicated and inspiring SEN Secondary Teacher to join this exceptional team and play a key role in shaping positive outcomes for their students.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of students with a variety of additional needs (SEMH, ASD, ADHD). (MLD/SLD/PMLD)
* Create and implement personalised learning programmes (EHCPs) that support both academic progress and emotional development.
* Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, Senior Leadership Team, and families to maintain a consistent, supportive learning environment.
* Employ creative, multisensory teaching strategies to ensure learning is accessible, enjoyable, and effective for all students.
* Monitor student progress, evaluate learning outcomes, and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s SEN provision.

What we’re looking for:

* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience, or a strong commitment to teaching students with SEN.
* Enthusiastic about inclusive education and fostering a supportive classroom environment.
* Confident in adapting lessons and teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
* Patient, compassionate, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
* Familiar with EHCPs, differentiation methods, and strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation.
