The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
* Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual pupil needs.
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
* Support the class teacher in maintaining an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
* Help manage behaviour using supportive and consistent strategies.
* Assist with personal care and wellbeing support where required.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
About You
To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you should have:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
* A Level 2/3 qualification in Education or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
