Special Needs Assistant - Camberley - Education and Training - Graduate - Art Therapy - Psychology - Surrey – Education – SEN - £90-£100 per day

Do you have a passion for demonstrating the value of education, and supporting children with Autism and Speech, Language & Communication needs?

This specialist school based in Camberley is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children aged 4-17 with mild and moderate learning difficulties.

The Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is an excellent way to get your ‘foot in the door’, providing the opportunity to work closely and network with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, and expanding your knowledge and skillset. The Special Needs LSA role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.

Career progression routes include Play Therapist, Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.

A common feature for many children and young people with special educational needs is marginalisation and disadvantage, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment and stigmatisation. Subsequently they face many barriers in life and are more ‘at risk’ of negative outcomes. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing consistency, and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

Job Role and Responsibilities of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:
