Mental Health Assistant- Alton

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join our vibrant team at our unique school in Alton. Our institution provides specialised education, care, and therapy for children with physical disabilities, supporting their emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing through a holistic, student-centered, multidisciplinary approach.

Key Responsibilities of a Mental Health Assistant- Alton:

* Provide emotional and psychological support to students, helping them navigate daily challenges and fostering a sense of independence.
* Assist with the physical needs of students, including lifting, hoisting, and personal care, while ensuring the utmost respect and dignity.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to deliver integrated care that supports both mental and physical health.
* Support students in building social and emotional skills, enhancing their self-esteem and confidence.
* Help facilitate therapeutic activities, providing individual or group support to promote mental well-being.

Requirements of a Mental Health Assistant- Alton:

* A genuine passion for mental health, education, and supporting students to reach their full potential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience with physical care needs, including lifting, hoisting, and personal care would be an advantage.
* A commitment to providing the highest quality care, support, and mental health assistance to students.
* Relevant education and training in mental health or SEN desired
