Learning Support Assistant - on and off-site - happy to drive the school minibus

Must by 21+ and have had a driving licence for a minimum of 3 years!

Academics are recruiting on behalf of an ‘Outstanding’ secondary SEN School in Basingstoke which caters for pupils aged between 11-16 years with moderate learning difficulties

They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to assist on and off-site learning by supervising and assisting pupils across a wide range of activities. You will be responsible for transporting groups to and from off site locations as well as assisting with the planning of and supervising small groups and individuals undertaking activities.

To be considered for this role, you must have had a Driving Licence for over 3 years, be 21+ and be happy to drive the small school minibus. Candidates willing to complete MIDAS Training would be an advantage, although not essential. The training will be provided by the school. If you have a D1 driving licence that would be fab as this would allow you to be able to drive the larger school minibus but again, this is not essential.

This is a full-time, term-time, on-going/temp to perm position working 32.5 hours per week.

You will ideally have experience of supporting student with SEN.

Working hours: Monday, 8.30am – 4.30pm
Tuesday - Friday, 8.30am – 3.15pm

If you are interested in the position, please apply by sending a copy of your CV and we will then give you a call to discuss in more detail.
