Are you looking for Primary School experience before training to become a teacher or educational psychologist?

Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role in Westminster?

Would enjoy supporting a friendly, academic pupil who needs support moving around school and academic help in class?

* January 2025 to July 2025 or sooner – with option to extend for the next academic year
* 2 Form Entry Primary School
* Borough of Westminster
* Good OFSTED Report
* SEN Teaching Assistant Role
* Full Training Provided
* Term Time Only

Academics are currently working with the Headteacher at this very friendly and successful Primary school in Westminster to recruit a teaching assistant to join their team from January.

The role will see you working alongside a child in Year 1 who needs extra support to move around the school as he uses a walking frame and has a visual impairment. The child is very friendly, loves coming to school and his parents are very supportive. He has excellent behaviour and thoroughly enjoys taking part in lessons. As his 1;1 Teaching Assistant you will be required to assist him in class to make sure he can access the curriculum using visual aids and general academic support plus support him if needed to move around school.

This role would be perfect for a graduate who is taking their first steps into education ahead or further training to become a teacher or educational psychologist or an existing teaching assistant with a Level 3 SEN, Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification. Full training will be provided and you will be working alongside an experienced SENCo and take part it regular visits with visiting therapists.

This role would suit a teaching assistant that can make learning fun and has a calm and patient nature. Good English and Maths skills are required alongside an enthusiastic and happy approach to working with children. Trials will take place the first week in November with the successful Teaching Assistant joining the team either straight away or in January. Please get in touch for further information about the role and to arrange your trial day.
