Academics believes that all overseas trained teachers should have the opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status, thus enabling them to receive top rates of pay and to have the professional recognition they are entitled to.

Academics works in partnership with a local teacher training provider to guide and support teachers through the process. QTS is an employment-based route which requires you to present a portfolio of documentation that evidences that you meet the professional standards required to teach in the UK.

Academics has produced several documents to help you through this process as well as being able to carry out the required number of classroom observations. Further information about what documentation you need to register for QTS and guidance on the standards is available from TTA.
