At Academics we recognize that starting a new job in a new country can be quite daunting and we do everything we possibly can to make the move to work within the UK education system as smooth as possible.

All teachers, new to the country and to Academics are invited to an induction day and are provided with information on how to gain Qualified Teacher Status.

As well as getting you a good teaching position, Academics provides advice, guidance and support on such practical issues as visas, bank accounts and accommodation.

Within four weeks of being in the country you will be put in contact with a ’buddy’, someone to help you on a personal basis settle into the city and a ‘mentor’ who as a member of the school staff helps you settle into the profession.
