Academics offer a complete recruitment outsourcing scheme which works as an extension of the schools recruitment process. This covers the recruitment of all staff from Teaching Assistants through to Headteachers, School Business Managers and SLT on both permanent and an interim basis. Whether you are looking to recruit a BSF Project Manager for a specific 1 or 2 year contract or a Headteacher for a start up academy we have the knowledge and expertise to meet your needs.
During the first full year in post we will support the successful candidate to ensure a smooth transition into the new role and to ensure the candidate is providing effective management and leadership.

Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers, School Business Managers, Middle Managers
- This is managed by an experienced ex Headteacher who will undertake the whole process from start to finish involving the school governors every step of the way
- Arrange for a senior consultant from Academics Associates to visit the school and provide a detailed review of the current environment and what areas of improvement and expertise are required to drive the institution forward
- Development of the job description and personal specification to meet the school needs
- National and international advertising for the position
- Contact our own extensive network of senior leaders and associates
- Panel interview all suitable applicants
- Panel consultation to discuss and chose the most suitable applicants for short listing
- Full vetting/security procedures including, ISA registration, CRB, List 99 and full reference history
- Shortlists produced in collaboration with to the SLT/School Governors and interviews organised and arranged
- We can provide independent interview panel members for client schools where required
- Consultation post interviews with the SLT/School Governors to discuss performance of all applicants and suitability for the post
Senior Level Secondments
Academics can draw upon an extensive network of senior leaders and specialist education consultants to arrange senior level secondments between partner schools. If you are looking to recruit a behavioural specialist for an inner city comprehensive or an associate Headteacher to oversee a federation or cluster of schools we have the right people for you.
Training
Academics is committed to ensuring that quality professional development opportunities are available for all staff working through the company. We are committed to ensuring that when you recruit a member of staff we will play a key role in supporting that individual during their time at the school so that the school and the students get the highest level of performance.
To enable this to happen we have:

School Improvement
This element of our service is tailored to work with school SLT and School Governors on an ongoing basis to provide whole school and departmental reviews, reporting and recommendations for the future. Academics will liaise with the SLT / School Governors and organise a review for a specific purpose. The independent observer would be carefully chosen from our network of senior leaders and their selection would be tailored to provide the school the relevant skills and expertise required to carry out an effective and comprehensive review.
