Recruitment Options
Long-Term Supply There are generally two types of staffing issue that require a long-term temporary supply teacher:
We have developed a pioneering payment structure for ‘term to perm’ fees which breaks down any financial barriers and allows both the school and the teacher the opportunity to make decisions based on the most important factors: the right decision for themselves and for the students. Once a teacher has worked for 150 working days on a supply basis, the school is able to award the teacher a contract at no further cost. The financial advantages of this package are obvious but it is the added value services of Academics which make it particularly appealing. During the 150 days that the teacher is paid by Academics, they will be encouraged to develop a professional portfolio, including classroom observations conducted by our professional development team. If a teacher’s qualifications are from overseas, we will make every effort to ensure they gain QTS within the supply period, by supporting them in the development of their professional portfolios and registering them for assessment with one of our partner Designated Recommending Bodies.
