Our client owns a cluster of privately owned early years centres and kindergartens in Hong Kong to cater for children aged 0 to 6 years.
Applications from tertiary qualified Early Years and Primary teachers are now being called for positions to commence the new academic year in August 2012. Opportunities to teach in the nursery (ages 0 to 2), toddler (ages 2 to 4) and Kindergarten (ages 5 and 6) will be available in this fantastic city on a two year contract.
Western trained staff make up 50% of the total staffing with all members fluent in English. The population of children attending the centres are a mix of local and western children. The Primary Years Program as part of the International Baccalaureate curriculum (IB PYP) is followed for ages 3 and above.
1. Hold a western university teaching qualification (M.Ed, B.Ed, PGCE, Dip Teaching). Applicants holding a TAFE/College qualification will not be considered for these roles.
2. Hold a western passport and have English as your first/native language
4. Be available to start a two year placement in August 2012
Note/Positions are open to graduate and experienced candidates
A typical school year runs from mid August to early July. There is eight weeks paid annual holidays + Chinese public holidays per year. A school week is from Monday to Friday, hours 8.15am to 4.45pm.
a. A monthly salary of up to $38000HKD (£3100/$4900USD) per month . Increments per year of service
