I am currently recruiting for Secondary Maths Teachers positions in the UAE starting in Sept 2010. Their programs blend the rich traditions and culture of the United Arab Emirates, with the requirements of living in a progressive international society, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. My client's school consists of three campuses: Mohammed bin Zayed, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi City. The system is focusing on delivering the International Baccalaureate Programmes, as candidate schools, and curriculum of the American Diploma project. Our curriculum, in all grades is taught in English as the primary language of instruction and our students also receive instruction in the rich Islamic culture and Arab language. We believe that this enhances the education our students receive, in our programs, while establishing high expectations for their achievement through the programs we are working to offer. Teachers applying for this post must have the following: ** M.Ed, B.Ed or a Bachelors Degree with a teacher training qualification ** Fully qualified (Strong NQT's will be considered) ** Knowledge of teaching the IB, IGCSE or GCSE syllabuses ** Be a native speaker of English ** Be western trained (UK, Australia, USA, Canada or SA) ** Be proficient in MS Office Applications & use of interactive whiteboard ** Have excellent interpersonal, presentation and report writing skills ** Have a strong belief in AFL, experiential and independent learning ** Have a comprehensive grasp of the current education initiatives, practice and thinking Documents will need to be attested to work in the UAE.
