Are you a qualified French teacher who’d be interested in teaching French in a reputable and successful school based in Mile End, East London?
Due to an internal promotion an opening is available to join a large and expanding French department. French is fantastically supported in this school with outstanding facilities and continual subject related trips throughout the year provided for all students.
You will be teaching GCSE French to a wide range of abilities so you must be an organised and detailed planner who can confidently engage students ranging from SEN to OXBRIDGE. The school will welcome applications from either fully qualified experienced teachers or NQT’s.
The school has over 900 students on the roll and hail from a large range of backgrounds and with over 60 languages spoken you can be sure this is a true London comprehensive. The mixture of cultures and experiences creates a colourful and exciting atmosphere which is a challenge but also a pleasure to teach in.
The school is serious about teaching French but uses creative and fun approaches to engage the students including various French trips throughout the year.
You will be joining a supportive and friendly faculty that always promotes best practice including sharing of resources, pooling of ideas and encourages a learning environment for students and staff. The team is experienced and includes an AST that you can work with and learn from during your time.
The school is looking to appoint an individual with ambition, dedication and commitment and this is a permanent position for September 2010.
The school is located conveniently from the Underground and overland British rail stations.
