Primary Year 3 Teacher is required to join this truly fantastic international school in Doha the Qatari state’s national capital. My client currently requires a Primary Year 3 Teacher with a minimum of 3 yrs experience teaching the British National Curriculum or alternatively the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). The school offers the following salary package for the right candidate: ** A TAX FREE salary of up to 14,000 QAR Riyals per month (www.xe.com) ** Fully Furnished Accommodation ** Flights ** Private Medical Cover ** Utility Allowance ** 2 year contract (renewable on mutual agreement) My client’s school opened in September 2006 to provide great learning for the growing number of international families in Doha, Qatar. Today, the school’s enrolment comprises approximately 400 students from over 40 countries. The Gharaffa Campus is situated in the Al Gharaffa district of Doha, close to the newly developed and prestigious Education City. The campus currently serves students aged 3 to 11 (Early Years to Year 6), and includes a swimming pool, a large multi-purpose hall, a five-a-side football pitch, English and Dutch libraries, a computer suite, language rooms and classrooms. The main building is a former royal palace. The new Rayyan Campus, located about 10 minutes from the Gharaffa Campus, opened in September 2009 to accommodate the growing number of students and to offer new Secondary Classes. The campus takes students from Year 7 to Year 9, and includes specialist rooms for science, music, art, ICT and languages. Phase 2 of the development, now planned for September 2010 will include a large sports field, air conditioned sports hall and general classroom spaces. The Rayyan Campus is planned to expand for September 2010 to offer programmes for students from Early Years through to Year 10, the first year of the IGCSE programme. Teachers applying for this post must have the following: ** M.Ed, B.Ed or a Bachelors Degree with a teacher training qualification in Primary education (Open University Degree's are not accepted) ** At least 3 years experience (Strong NQT's will be considered) ** Must have experience of British National Curriculum or IPC ** Be western trained (UK, Australia, USA, Canada or SA) ** Be proficient in MS Office Applications & use of interactive whiteboard ** Have excellent interpersonal, presentation and report writing skills ** Have a strong belief in AFL, experiential and independent learning ** Have a comprehensive grasp of the current education initiatives, practice and thinking ** The ability to teach an additional subject is highly advantageous but is not necessarily essential to secure this position If you are ready for a fresh challenge, do not hesitate, apply now!
