The Head of a Children's Centre is looking for an experienced Manager to lead the Under 3's provision of the Children's Centre. NVQ Level 4 or above Nursery Nurse **Outstanding new Provision – Children’s Centre **Position – Children’s Centre Manager, September start **Location – Southwark **Excellent Salary - **£32,532 - £38,733** UK TRAINED PRACTITIONERS WITH MINIMUM 3 YEARS POST QUALIFYNG EXPERIENCE This is a position not to be missed…! I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to oversee the set up and opening of a brand new under 3’s provision within the Children’s Centre. The Centre is attached to a Primary School in the borough of Southwark. I am looking for an exceptional practitioner with proven success of leading and managing an Early Years setting. If you are dynamic with innovative ideas that can progress and lead this new provision I want to hear from you. You will have excellent Early Years Foundation Stage experience with the ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals, in turn providing the best possible early years care and education. You must be able to understand and implement the ‘Every Child Matters’ Framework and be able to work closely with outside agencies. You will be key in the set up of the centre, bringing your wealth of experience, knowledge and skills to the forefront of the setting. Being responsible for the day-to-day leadership you will oversee the daily running of the setting, being responsible for budgets, fees, marketing and the building of occupancy. You will manage staff rotas, ensuring ratios are adhered to at all times. To ensure the development of the setting and its staff you will carry out staff meetings, supervisions and yearly appraisals. The Children’s centre is a new building with excellent facilities; it is set in a residential area with the school being well known amongst the local community. It is set in large grounds with good outside areas for the children to play. You will be working closely with the main school and will ensure the smooth transition to the Pre-School. This is a position for a NVQ Level 4 or above and CV’s will only be looked at if there is a proven track record of continued professional development. You must have outstanding communication and organisational skills as well as second to none knowledge of day care practice.
