Since completing their PGDE in 2009 this candidate has worked both in Scotland and in London in two very different schools with alternate pedagogical ideals. Having completed his induction in Scotland teaching in a moderate sized primary school which was in the process of implementing the Curriculum for Excellence (very child led learning which would be unrestricted by timetables) to a Year 5 class of 26 pupils they decided to relocate to London. They secured a post in a 1 form entry primary school with an exceptionally diverse and deprived catchment area in Greenwich they have been teaching a Year 5 class of 30 pupils and working as Health Schools Coordinator since September. Whilst they are thoroughly enjoying their time at the school career progression and CPD opportunities are somewhat limited and this ambitious candidate is keen to work in a school that is more creative and where they will be given the tools to allow them to become a truly outstanding teacher. Comes highly recommended by current Headteacher who fully understands their dilemma and supports their pursuit of career advancement

Having worked in banking for a decade managing departments and teams this candidate decided to pursue their dream and changed career to move into teaching. They are well known to Academics as we found them a 1 year placement as a teaching assistant back in 2007 in a challenging 2 form entry state primary in Lambeth working in their Nursery and Reception classes.
